Prayer Wheels

A metal cylindrical "wheel" with Kuan Yin's mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is written in Sanskrit on the exterior. Inside the wheel are thousands more rolled mantras. Placed along the walking meditation and circumambulations paths around Tara Walk, Medicine Buddha Hill and Manjushri Hill.

What are the benefits?
Contributing towards the building of a place of worship, Sangha living quarters or Buddha statues is extremely meritorious. Every sponsor of a Prayer Wheel will have their name inscribed on the prayer wheel. Each turn of the wheel is equivalent to reciting thousands of mantras, thus collecting tremendous merits and good karma for the sponsor on a daily basis.
